An Ambulatory Function Monitoring System
TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
An ambulatory function monitoring system comprises a prosthesis fabricated with a hollow compartment; a micro-controller coupled with a three axis accelerometer sensor housed within the hollow compartment to monitor and acquire information related to three dimensional movement of the prosthesis; a storage means in communication with the micro-controller and received acquired information from the micro-controller to store the received information into a computer readable medium; and a battery to power operation of the micro-controller, the three axis accelerometer sensor and the storage means.
